Ho’oponopono : Clean the rubbish!

It’s very sad to read all the rubbish written everywhere about “Ho’oponopono”…Almost all I read focus on those 4 sentences often called “The Mantra of Ho’oponopono”…: “I am sorry, forgive me, I thank you, I love you”…

I have been the official coordinator of Ho’oponopono for French speaking countries as a representative of Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len, so I have taught the whole process in quite a lot of classes…Let me tell you that this is just the very tip of the iceberg.

There is no magic “mantra” of ho’oponopono

The famous guy who promoted this so called “magic” mantra and who is actually selling fancy “ho’oponopono certifications” is just numbing people. Take his book “Zero Limits” and find the pages where he describes himself repeating “I love you” during a conflictive phone call…

The result is that everything finally goes well…Hurrah! Believe it or not…That’s not the matter. The true question is : “Really is it what we are looking for as the goal of a spiritual quest?” Are we just expecting to manipulate an illusory “reality” to make it match the aspirations or our egos? More Health, more money, more love, more peace, more, more, more…More is feeding the “monster” in us…

Feeling Aloha is just feeling AT HOME

Please, remember that the roots of Ho’oponopono belong to the Hawaiian idea of Aloha…Aloha is nothing secret. It’s simply a state of consciousness. You don’t need to be a kahuna nor get any certification to get there because you already live already there. Every creature on this planet is what it is. The problem is not to put a sticker on your Tshirt with some fancy words, it’s just about awakening to what IS…Whatever the condition.

If we are in the valley of death the challenge is not to escape it, the real thing is to stay in touch with our true identity :

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

That’s true Aloha Spirit…It is about a state of “Oneness”. In fact we never left “Home”… This Ho’oponopono stuff is just a tool, not even a magical one. No, it’s a ladder, a bridge, a medicine to help you wake up…That’s all…

Ho’oponopono is not a destination

The advantage I see in this approach is that it is non confessional and very simple. But beware, that’s not the only or the way to find yourself. All true spiritualities bring exactly to the same point : “Awakening to what we are” .

All this “Ho’oponopono fetishism” is counter productive because it’s like a drug. You get high but not in the right direction. It’s just a marketing trail leading to a dead end. I am am very surprised that so many “sane” people get into the trap.

But are you really sane or do you prefer “spiritual special effects” …Awakening have nothing to see with a magic show or some fireworks. Its just about ending the illusion of separation, erasing the idea that solutions are outside. God is not a big Person somewhere on cloud nine, it’s just a state of consciousness…

There is nothing new in this. Open a Bible and see that somebody came more than 2000 years ago to repeat what Moses already taught before him : ”Throw away the bullshit!”, “Empty your mind from all those addictions and those sicknesses your are passing from generation to generation…” “Become empty”, “Be like a newborn child…”

Self-Identity is the only goal

Isn’t it easy…Just find who you really are and this truth will make you free.

Consider ho’oponopono as a vacuum cleaner, a trash box, a super broom. Use it to clean your mess if you wish but please do not use it to feed yourself with more lies, more tricks, more illusions…

Let go forever your fear of freedom and fly!
