The Bible : The adventure of our consciousness

Stop adoring the “Golden calf”!

We have integrated such a negative image of the divine that we have distanced ourselves psychologically from our Source. The words we use have destroyed our essential trust in the energy that carries us. We created a distant, angry God who judges our sins. We see him capable of making lightning strike, razing cities to the ground, causing disasters… This is the image conveyed throughout the Old Testament.

Bible : the adventures of consciousness

But the Bible is not the story of an external world, it is above all the story of the adventures of human consciousness and a tool for evolution. As our omniscient and omnipotent spirit became incarnate and individualised, initial consciousness as souls lost the original feeling of belonging to the ocean of life and the freedom that implies. The hypnotic fascination of the material world was such that minds started to worship the “Golden Calf”. This idolatry castigated by the Old Testament is not the fact of worshipping false gods but of believing in gods outside of consciousness.

The Power of Love

When Jehovah calls the Children of Israel a “stiff-necked people” he does so with apparent severity, but his message is one of total love. The obedience he demands of us is not submission to a hierarchical and dictatorial power, it is simply acceptance of what IS. Acknowledging our own divinity is not egotism, it’s not human pride, it’s simply the recognition that of the Source within.

Problems are tools for evolution

The belief in only one GOD implies acknowledging only one POWER, the one within. The true « spiritual way » is a total letting go and a full confidence in our inner power. This implies a radical change of point of view. We must understand that problems are never sent by an external divinity (as there is no such power anywhere outside). It is just a reflexion of our own ideas manifesting as reality.

It is a tool allowing us to erase the veil between our incarnated consciousness and our original perfection.
