Why is the Law of Attraction a dangerous illusion…
What is this famous Law of Attraction we read so much about?
The word “attraction” comes from the verb “to attract” which, according to the current definition, means “to draw, to make come to oneself by a material action”. What reinforces the belief in this ‘spiritual gimmick’ is the word ‘LAW’… If it’s a law, it looks serious, and if we add a pinch of magnetism to this pseudo-scientific sauce and plunge a magnet into it, we end up with the most tantalising illusion of the period we’re going through…
I think that, in fact, the “LAW” of attraction is more profitable for its sellers than for its customers… To check this out, I suggest you take a look behind the scenes. This will help us understand why this “LAW” doesn’t really evolve consciousness, quite the contrary.
A misleading image, easy to understand
If we go back to the basic definition, we see that this idea of “attraction” seems very easy to grasp insofar as it refers to a “material action”…
Let’s take the magnet we put in our broth and see how it works…
Indeed, if I place a metal object close to it, I’ll be able to see that something is attracted… I’ll be convinced that this law does exist. I will then try to exploit it and I may even find that it is effective…
Difference between material law and spiritual law?
The question we need to ask ourselves is “What is the difference between a material law and a spiritual law?
The answer is that “material” laws imply an idea of duality.
In the field of personal development, this means that I’m going to try to attract something from the outside that I don’t have now… And that’s the trap… Love, money, success, happiness, peace, health; if I apply the recipes correctly, I’ll be able to obtain the results promised by the authors of all these books that proclaim themselves to teach the “last secret of the famous law”…
And in fact, if this law actually works in certain cases, it’s even worse…
Welcome in the “supermarket of illusions”
Why? Quite simply because it plunges us straight into the “supermarket of illusion”: the world of “having” and not that of the “Being” we wish to realize. Desire follows desire, and dissatisfaction risks becoming the flip side of the law that is supposed to free us.
The proliferation of “magnetizers” on the market at the moment is another illustration of this illusion. Can true freedom, true wealth, true peace come from outside?
No spiritual master will be able to transmit the slightest bit of wisdom if the disciple is not in perfect resonance with his frequency. Not with his head, not through words, at the “SPIRITUAL” level, which has nothing to do with the so-called laws of the material world. An human being is not a balloon to be filled with magnetism when he feels empty…
Life: unity or duality?
The secret behind all this is very simple: every stream comes from a single source and all the water in the universe has the same nature and the same origin: there is no duality…
Magnetizers and the famous “Law of Attraction” only serve to trap the mind in the illusion that there is something out there that we can obtain when we don’t have it… and this usually involves a material investment…
So, let’s ask ourselves another question: “What happens to the Law of Attraction if the outside world is just an illusion? If the thesis of “duality” does not hold up scientifically.”
What about our magnetizer? Couldn’t we save a bit of money by not believing in the fact that a living being can function like a car tire that could be re-inflated?
We might even ask ourselves whether the effect of a magnetism session might not be counter-productive, insofar as the so called “healer” is merely reflecting the illusion of the reality of matter and the duality that supports it. What if everything were Spirit? Your spirit itself?
So, in your opinion… if there is no outside, in other words if the only law of the Universe is its ABSOLUTE UNITY… How can we rethink the problem?
